The UAE Search and Rescue Team has located another 10 people reported missing following floods in Nepal, bringing the total found since its mission began to 18.
The team is continuing field operations in coordination with Nepalese authorities, with searches focused on Rasuwa, areas around the Trishuli River and other locations affected by the flooding.
Specialist equipment, drones, aerial surveys and three-dimensional mapping are being used to identify areas where missing people may be located and help search teams cover affected areas more quickly.
The latest operations coincide with the arrival of a fifth UAE humanitarian aid aircraft in Nepal carrying additional equipment and supplies.
The shipment includes rescue boats, drones, power equipment and other technical and logistical supplies, which will be handed over to Nepalese search and rescue teams.
Hammoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations, said UAE teams are continuing to work alongside Nepalese authorities, with operations guided by information and priorities on the ground.
