The UAE has reiterated its firm support for the rights of the Palestinian people and called for collective international action to put an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
During the 33rd Arab Summit in Manama, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said that the UAE will continue to stand by the Palestinian cause.
He emphasised the importance of achieving an immediate ceasefire and warned of the dangerous repercussions of any Israeli military operation in Rafah.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE's aid and relief efforts in Gaza as well as the country's political efforts that culminated in the United Nations General Assembly voting for full membership of the State of Palestine.
He added that during the summit, Arab leaders discussed efforts to strengthen joint Arab action in various fields and building bridges of cooperation and diplomacy to tackle challenges.
