UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has described talks with Turkey's President as "fruitful" as he welcomed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the UAE.
His Highness said on Twitter that they "discussed strengthening bilateral relations and pushing forward economic and development cooperation between the UAE and Turkey for the benefit of their people, and the importance of building on positive developments in the region to support peace, stability and prosperity for the good of their people."
He added that they "explored ways to continue building on the close, historic ties between our two countries. The UAE and Turkey remain committed to fostering regional stability, growth and sustainable economic development."
President Erdogan landed in the UAE on Wednesday to mark the fifth in a series of summits and meetings that have significantly strengthened the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
