President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met the organisers of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign during a special reception at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE leader thanked the organisers for their “swift response” in assisting the people of Lebanon.
The campaign, which was launched in October 2024 after an escalation of violence in Lebanon, ended in January. It raised nearly AED 190 million and collected 6,000 tonnes of relief material, which were dispatched through 22 planes and two ships.
His Highness reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to "extending a helping hand to those in need wherever they may be".
Sheikh Mohamed also commended the UAE community for contributing to the success of the humanitarian campaign.
