The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reiterated commitment to backing all efforts aimed at reaching a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict and continuing initiatives to ease its humanitarian impact.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed his support during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is on an official visit to the UAE.
The two leaders met at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where they discussed cooperation in key areas, including investment, economy, renewable energy and food security, as well as other areas aligning with both nations' developmental goals.
His Highness emphasised the UAE’s consistent support for peaceful solutions to global crises, stressing that stability is essential for development.
He also thanked Zelenskyy for Ukraine's collaboration in supporting UAE mediation efforts for prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia, which underscores confidence in the UAE's humanitarian role.
Zelenskyy reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation with the UAE and thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the country’s diplomatic support in facilitating prisoner exchanges and its humanitarian focus.
