All prisons and juvenile facilities in Abu Dhabi will be placed under new management from next year.
The role of managing punitive and correctional establishments has been transferred from Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
In his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a law regarding this.
The changes will come into effect on January 1, 2024.
