UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held separate calls with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides over intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions between Iran and Israel.
The leaders expressed stressed the importance of preventing further escalation and resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue.
They underscored the shared goal of preserving security, stability and peace in the region, the national news agency Wam reported.
The discussions also focused on deepening cooperation between the UAE and both the countries.
