UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional military escalation and its serious repercussions on regional and global security and peace in a call with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands on Tuesday.
The King reiterated his country's condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the UAE and countries in the region, which target civilians and civilian facilities, stressing they represent a violation of state sovereignty and international conventions.
He noted that the Netherlands recently summoned the Iranian ambassador, reiterating his country's solidarity and support for the UAE, and praised the UAE's management of the crisis and its efforts to maintain the security and safety of citizens, residents, and visitors.
Both sides stressed the need for an immediate cessation of military action in order to preserve regional and international security and stability.
