UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Saudi Arabia's win in the Arabian Gulf Cup final on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia were crowned champions after defeating the UAE 2-0 in the final in Jeddah on Tuesday night.
In a post on social media platform X, the UAE President also extended his sincere congratulations to the Kingdom's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia on the win.
He praised the "successful organisation of the tournament" and wished Saudi Arabia "continued success in future sporting competitions".
His Highness also commended the "high level" of sportsmanship shown by the Saudi and UAE teams during the final match.
