UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has called for the "unimpeded" delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip during a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Abu Dhabi.
The leaders discussed the need for the safe delivery of supplies by land, sea and air and also emphasised the importance of securing “lasting peace” for the people of Palestine.
They also explored ways to enhance relations between their countries and reviewed a range of regional and international issues during the meeting at Qasr Al Shati.

Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah II also addressed various aspects of collaboration between the UAE and Jordan, particularly in the development, economic and political fields.
The UAE President also hosted an iftar reception in honour of King Abdullah II and his accompanying delegation.
