UAE President calls for stronger global cooperation at G7 Summit

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has participated in the 52nd G7 Leaders’ Summit in Évian-les-Bains, France.

The summit, held from June 15-17, brought together leaders from the G7 countries (France, US, UK, Italy, Germany, Canada, Japan), along with several invited nations, to discuss key global issues.

In his address, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to working with international partners to promote peace, security, stability and development worldwide.

He thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for hosting the summit and for the invitation to attend, noting the importance of dialogue at a time of growing global challenges.

Sheikh Mohamed said the region is facing rapidly evolving challenges that extend beyond its borders, and expressed appreciation for international support during recent threats targeting the UAE.

He stressed the need for stronger global cooperation, highlighting the importance of secure trade routes, resilient supply chains and reliable infrastructure as the foundation for global prosperity.

The UAE President also underlined the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining global stability and promoting lasting peace based on respect for sovereignty, good neighbourly relations and international law.

He pointed to opportunities for deeper cooperation in areas such as energy transition, artificial intelligence and economic development, saying the UAE remains a committed and forward-looking partner in these fields.

Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE’s participation in the G7 reflects its focus on strengthening partnerships and investing in innovation and resilience to support a more stable and prosperous future.
