The UAE's President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has arrived in the Indian state of Gujarat at the start of a working visit.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed upon his arrival at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
The two leaders led a roadshow from the airport, passing large crowds of people lining the streets and waving Emirati and Indian flags.
Sheikh Mohamed is scheduled to attend the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to be held from January 10-12.
He will also hold discussions with Modi on ways to further build upon the strategic partnership between their countries.
