UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Syrian counterpart Ahmad Al-Sharaa have discussed expanding economic and development cooperation in a phone call on Thursday.
The two leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East and their impact on the region's security and stability.
The call follows Al-Sharaa's visit to the UAE last month, as economic ties between the two countries continue to grow.
The two presidents met in Abu Dhabi in September, when Al-Sharaa was in the country for the 24th Arab Media Summit in Dubai. At that meeting, they reaffirmed their commitment to advancing UAE-Syria relations in support of both countries' development priorities.
