UAE participates in 43rd session of Council of Arab Interior Ministers

The UAE, led by His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has taken part in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, held virtually.

The meeting brought together interior ministers from Arab nations, along with representatives of the League of Arab States and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and senior security officials.

In his address, Sheikh Saif said the session comes amid rapidly escalating regional challenges, citing what he described as unjustified Iranian attacks targeting Gulf states and other countries.

He affirmed that the UAE remains secure under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, supported by the readiness of its armed forces, strong community unity and close ties with partner nations.

He also stressed the UAE’s full readiness to support Gulf Cooperation Council partners in times of crisis, underscoring a shared commitment to collective security.

Sheikh Saif added that the UAE’s leadership continues to prioritise national security and sovereignty, while maintaining a balanced approach aimed at preventing further regional escalation.

He concluded by offering condolences to victims of recent attacks and wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

The session also reviewed key agenda items, including activity reports, counterterrorism strategies, and recommendations from recent Arab and international security meetings.
