UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
The two sides explored ways to advance cooperation in key sectors including economy, trade, tourism, renewable energy and investment, national news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with Balkan countries, and to supporting efforts that promote peace and stability in the region.
Mickoski, who is on a working visit to the UAE, highlighted the wide range of opportunities for cooperation that could support both nations’ goals for sustainable development.
During the meeting, the leaders witnessed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) - one related to economic cooperation, and the second between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia.
Mickoski later visited Wahat Al Karama where he was accorded a guard of honour.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, who accompanied the visiting delegation, briefed them on the importance of Wahat Al Karama.
Mickoski laid a wreath at Martyrs' Monument and penned a special message in the guest book in honour of the UAE's lost heroes.
