An inventor from the UAE has come up with a unique device to catch fake passports. The machine includes a microscope twenty times stronger than similar devices, and can read airline tickets, barcodes and international ID cards. The invention is a first-of-its-kind and, according to The Ministry of Interior, marks a quantum leap in border security. It's been invented by Sergeant Amer Al Jabri from the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the Ministry of Interior. Officials say it’s all part of the government’s plan to position the UAE at the forefront of global safety and security.
