The UAE's National Service and Reserve Authority has warned of legal action against companies found violating the rights of employees undertaking mandatory military service. It has directed all employers to ensure that trainees are not denied their regular work benefits during the period of national service. According to national news agency WAM, the warning comes in response to complaints about job promotions and salaries. The authority is also reminding all public and private organisations in the country to nominate eligible candidates for its next phase of recruitment sessions scheduled in January.
