The UAE Embassy in Washington D.C. has called on Emiratis to stay away from gatherings and demonstrations that are currently taking place across the US.
In a Tweet, it has advised its citizens to avoid crowds and follow the instructions of the local authorities.
The protests erupted following the death of George Floyd, an African-American man, in police custody in Minneapolis last week.

A similar advisory was recently issued by the UAE's Consulates in New York and Los Angeles as well.
They have all urged Emiratis to contact the helpline numbers of UAE missions, in case of emergencies.
