UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi have discussed regional developments following escalating military actions and the risk of a wider conflict.
During the phone call, El-Sisi condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and several other countries in the region, and affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE in safeguarding its security, sovereignty and the safety of its people.
He also praised the UAE’s responsible role in supporting de-escalation efforts and strengthening regional stability.
El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s readiness to provide all possible support to help preserve stability during this critical period.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked President El-Sisi for Egypt’s supportive stance.
The two leaders stressed the need for an immediate halt to the escalation and the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further tensions and safeguard regional and international security and stability.
