All schools and educational institutions in the UAE will resume classes on campus at full capacity from the second semester in January 2022.

The updated protocols were announced by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) during its latest COVID-19 media briefing on Tuesday.

School buses will also operate at 100 per cent capacity, while parents will be allowed to attend events at educational facilities by displaying the Green Pass on the Al Hosn App and a negative PCR test result (validity not exceeding 96 hours).

Authorities have advised all eligible teachers, administrative staff and students to receive the COVID-19 booster vaccine for added protection.

Vaccination is mandatory to enter university accommodation and those with medical exemptions should present a negative PCR test result every week.

Private schools in Dubai ended distance learning on October 3, while those in Sharjah are also operating at full capacity.
