UAE Minister of State Lana Nusseibeh has reviewed opportunities to strengthen cooperation with Mark Rutte, Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The minister underlined the UAE’s long-standing record of engagement with NATO through its sustained training collaboration and participation in operations led by the organisation across multiple regions.
Both sides also exchanged views on a range of global issues, including the conflict in Ukraine and regional developments in the Middle East.
Nusseibeh stressed the need to de-escalate tensions and advance political solutions through effective and responsible diplomacy.
During the conference, the Minister of State held more than 40 bilateral meetings with heads of government, foreign ministers, and senior officials from over 20 countries in efforts to boost global relations.
