The UAE has strongly denounced the Lebanese Foreign Minister's statements against Saudi Arabia and other GCC states.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) summoned the Lebanese ambassador to the UAE and handed over a note of protest.
According to MoFAIC, Charbel Wehbe's derogatory and racist statements defy "all diplomatic norms and are inconsistent with the historical relations between Lebanon and all GCC states."
