The UAE has strongly condemned Israel's seizure of the Rafah border crossing in Southern Gaza and warned of the consequences of military escalation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement, stressing the need to ensure the safe and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid and life-saving supplies to the people of Gaza.
It commended the mediation efforts of Qatar and Egypt to reach a ceasefire, and reiterated the UAE's call for a return to negotiations to achieve the two-state solution with an independent Palestinian state.
The ministry also reaffirmed its strong condemnation of any forced displacement of the Palestinian people, and all practices that violate the resolutions of international and humanitarian laws.
