The UAE has strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s preliminary approval of two bills seeking to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and legalize control over a settlement.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move represents a dangerous escalation and a clear violation of international law, warning that it threatens efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.
The Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s firm rejection of any unilateral actions that alter the legal or historical status of the occupied Palestinian territories.
It said any attempt to annex the West Bank is unacceptable and undermines the foundations of the two-state solution.
The UAE also urged the international community to act decisively to halt illegal practices, support peace efforts, and ensure security and stability for all people in the region
