The UAE has strongly condemned the Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting Kuwait early Thursday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that these "terrorist attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Kuwait and a threat to its security and stability".
The ministry expressed the UAE’s "full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding its security and stability".
Kuwait's army said its air defences had intercepted missiles and drones on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they targeted a US airbase at 0450 local time after what they described as an early morning US attack near Bandar Abbas airport, Tasnim news agency reported.
The IRGC did not say where the base was.
