The UAE has strongly condemned the attack targeting Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi at his residence in Baghdad's Green Zone.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) stressed that the UAE's "strong denunciation of these terrorist acts that aim to destabilise security and stability in Iraq in contravention of all moral and humanitarian principles".
Meanwhile, the UAE renewed its full solidarity with Iraq in the face of terrorism, reiterating the country's keenness to establish security and stability in the country.
Early on Sunday, a drone laden with explosives targetted al-Kadhimi's residence in what the Iraqi military called an attempted assassination.
