It’s World Polio Day today and the UAE is at the forefront of stamping out the disease worldwide.
In a Tweet, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has reaffirmed the Emirates’ commitment to work towards a world free of polio.
Since 2014, the UAE has helped deliver more than 417 million doses of polio vaccines.
On #WorldPolioDay, we renew our commitment to eradicating polio. Together with our partners and in collaboration with local communities, we can #endpolio and ensure a healthy future for the next generation. #GPEI @UAE_PAP @gatesfoundation pic.twitter.com/l1uLwfERjn
