The relief campaign 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' has collected 250 tonnes of aid at Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of over 3,000 volunteers.
Organised under the supervision of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council by the Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) and Sharjah Charity International (SCI), the collection drive on Saturday saw widespread public participation and collaboration with numerous humanitarian organisations and charitable associations.
The two-week 'UAE stands with Lebanon' campaign, launched on October 8, has mobilised UAE foundations and charities, demonstrating the country's commitment to supporting Lebanon in its time of need.
Another collection drive is scheduled to take place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, on Sunday.
