UAE citizens have been temporarily banned from travelling abroad as of Wednesday, March 18.
That’s according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which clarified that the ban will apply until further notice.
Ministry officials added that the decision comes as part of the country’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, as it is spreading rapidly around the world.
They have also reassured Emirati citizens that they will be informed of any updates or changes.
