The United Arab Emirates air defences were responding to fresh threats of missiles and drones on Thursday morning, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defence.
The public received a phone alert at 7:33am before being given the all-clear at 7:53am.
Authorities advised the public to stay in a safe location until the situation has been cleared, and that any noises heard were as a result of air defences being operated.
