UAE air defences responded to "incoming missile and drone threats" on Sunday morning.
The alert, issued at 8.32 am on X by the Ministry of Defence and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, requested the public to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for warnings and updates.

وتؤكد وزارة الدفاع أن الأصوات المسموعة في مناطق متفرقة من الدولة هي نتيجة اعتراض كل من منظومات الدفاع الجوي للصواريخ البالستية، والمقاتلات للطائرات المسيرة والجوالة.

A second phone alert sounded at 10:53am, asking citizens and residents to seek a safe place in the closest secure building and to await further instructions.
At 11:15am, a further alert from the UAE assured the public that the "situation is currently safe" and to "resume normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take necessary precautions".
