The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has developed two marine transport lines to serve the residential areas of Dubai Creek Harbour.
The first line, operating on weekends, connects Dubai Creek Harbour with Dubai Festival City, running from 4:00 pm to 11:55 pm.
The second line, available on weekdays, links Dubai Creek Harbour with Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station and Creek Metro Station, with service from 7:30 am to 10:50 am, and 4:00 pm to 10:50 pm.
Fares are just AED 2 per trip.
These routes, aimed at enhancing connectivity between residential areas and key tourist spots, have been developed following a recent partnership between the RTA and Emaar Properties.
"When the lines were launched in August 2022, they served an average of 3,000 monthly passengers. However, this number has soared to an average of 30,000 passengers per month in the current year, reflecting a remarkable 900% increase," said Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA's Public Transport Agency.
"This led to our collaboration with the developer to enhance the infrastructure by providing berths to accommodate various marine vessels and to set up ticket selling kiosks to improve customer satisfaction," he added.
