Truck have now been banned on Emirates Road between Al Awir Road and Sharjah from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, as Dubai attempts to enhance road safety for users and improve traffic flow.
Those violating the rule might be subject to a fine of AED 1,000 and six traffic points, according to the General Traffic Department of Dubai Police.
Dubai Police, in cooperation with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is working to raise awareness among truck drivers and transport company owners of the need to adhere to the new curfew times.
