A new video released by Abu Dhabi Police shows how a driver dangerously spins out of control and narrowly misses other vehicles after the car tyre burst.
Using the 'Your vehicle’s safety is your safety' campaign, the authority reminded drivers to get their cars thoroughly inspected during summer to avoid accidents caused by faulty tyres.
Drivers must check tyre pressure or signs of wear and tear, along with the year of manufacture.
Those caught driving around with faulty tyres will face AED 500 in fines, four black points and their cars impounded for a week.
