His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasised the need to de-escalate tensions in the occupied West Bank during a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Both sides underscored the need to revive political efforts aimed at achieving the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
The meeting also discussed the current situation in the Gaza Strip amongst developments in the Middle East.
Both parties stressed the importance of advancing US President Donald Trump’s plan in all its phases in a manner that supports lasting security and peace in the region.
Discussions also reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two nations, as well as ways to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
