Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has congratulated Carlos Espá on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
In a phone call, Sheikh Abdullah expressed his keenness to work with him to further advance cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides also looked into ways to strengthen collaboration and reviewed the growing trajectory of UAE-Peru relations as the countries mark 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1986.
Last week, Espá held talks with UAE Ambassador to Peru Ibrahim Al Alawi and discussed ways to advance cooperation across several sectors, including finance and digital government transformation. The two sides also discussed cooperation in the water sector and ways to enhance UAE investment in Peru.
Espá was sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru on July 28.
