Sharjah is spending more than AED 100 million to take care of its mosques.
Officials say the funds will be used for the construction and maintenance of the places of worship.
They'll also be used to build new homes for imams.
Officials say building new mosques is also part of the government's plans to keep pace with the population growth across the emirate.
