Hundreds of prisoners of various nationalities are being released in the emirate of Sharjah to mark the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The move follows a directive by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The humanitarian gesture is aimed at giving prisoners a chance to return to their families and rebuild their lives. It’s set to benefit 132 inmates who’ve served at least half their terms and demonstrated good conduct.
