Sharjah medical volunteers carry out 65 cardiac procedures in Bangladesh

A volunteer medical team from has performed 65 cardiac catheterisation procedures and examined around 160 children during a field visit to Bangladesh's capital city of Dhaka.

The initiative by Sharjah Charity International (SCI) was carried out under the “Little Hearts” campaign, which aims to treat children suffering from heart conditions needing urgent medical support. 

The campaign, launched in 2009, aims to support families facing financial hardship that prevents them from conducting medical procedures on their children due to the high cost of surgery.

The UAE delegation, headed by Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi, also inaugurated the Dar Al Rahma Orphan Care Home in the Dubail Sadar Tangail area, which includes residential, educational and religious facilities for orphaned children and supports their educational and social stability.

The team also distributed 100 food baskets containing essential supplies to meet the daily needs of beneficiaries.
