The Dubai Police have called for volunteers to ride along with their mounted unit to help raise awareness in the fight against COVID-19.
Titled ‘Ride with Dubai Mounted Police Unit’, “volunteers must be physically fit, at least 21 years of age, possess official jockey apparel, and provide negative PCR test results” before joining the team.
They will be briefed about the COVID-19 safety rules before patrolling areas like Al Khawaneej, Al Warqa, Al Bada’a, Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha, City Walk, JBR, and the Boulevard.

The volunteers will be provided with a police vest, protective equipment and will be accompanied by a supervisor and a paramedic.
It’s part of efforts by the authority to build community partnership.
Those who wish to sign up can do so by logging on to the Dubai Police website.
