Light to moderate rains lashed the eastern part of the United Arab Emirates, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warning motorists and residents to exercise caution and stay alert on the roads.
The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted that the showers may last until Tuesday.
The centre is also closely monitoring a tropical situation in the Arabian Sea that can potentially deepen and become a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
There is expected to be no direct impact on the UAE, but may lead to inclement weather in the eastern and southern regions of the country.
