The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have held a phone call to discuss ways to strengthen ties under their countries’ strategic partnership.
Sheikh Mohamed also congratulated Putin on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, coming up on May 9, and wished continued progress for Russia and its people.
Putin, in turn, thanked the UAE for its key role in mediating the latest and largest prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine last month, praising the country’s ongoing efforts in the peace process.
