Dubai Municipality has reassured the public on the safety of products used in the sterilisation operations in the country.
In a statement posted on the national news agency WAM, the civic body assured that the disinfection drive follows globally benchmarked safety guidelines and stressed the need for the public to stay at home in order to ensure smooth operation.
They further explained that hydrogen peroxide is the active ingredient in their products, diluted to the appropriate concentration and used by specialised personnel.
So far, the campaign has completed deep-cleaning 226 areas across Dubai, using 186 specialised personnel.
The efforts are part of the National Disinfection Programme being carried out from 8:00 pm until 6:00 am every night until April 5.
