As the year draws to a close, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up to handle a high volume of passengers.
Officials said only passengers with valid tickets will be allowed into the terminals.
They have also advised travellers to keep track of the latest regulations and to make sure their documents are in order.
Nearly 2 million people are expected to pass through DXB until January 8, with January 2 likely to be the busiest day of the holiday season, with an average of 198,000 passengers.
Dubai Airports shared these tips for customers travelling during the busy period.
- Get in touch with your respective airlines and ensure that you have all the necessary documents with the required validity before reaching the airport.
- Plan some extra time to get to and through the airport as the roads to DXB could get busy during peak times.
- Arrive at the airport no earlier than 3 hours before your departure if you are flying out of Terminals 1 or 2.
- Check-in online and use self-service options wherever available to start your journey in comfort.
