MOHAP to continue providing mobile health services to elderly

Health officials will continue to provide elderly citizens and people of determination with mobile healthcare services.

That’s according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), which clarified that the initiative aims to provide medical attention to those who may not have access to medical care.

Emirati citizens who meet the requirements of the Home Healthcare Programme, including those with mobility disorders or paralysis, bedridden people who need continuous follow-up and patients with mental illnesses can avail the services provided under the programme.

These services include curative and preventive services, rehabilitation, and nursing services.

In addition, laboratory tests, free in-house COVID-19 vaccinations, telemedicine services. medication home delivery; in-house flu vaccination, can also be provided.

Dr. Aisha Suhail, Director of the Primary Health Care Department, explained that the service can be requested via the "Shefaa" digital patient platform.
