His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah visited the field teams and defence personnel at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) on Friday.
His visit followed defence teams successfully containing a fire that broke out after debris fell from a drone intercepted by air defences.
Response teams worked around the clock to extinguish the blaze, which resulted in no injuries.
His Highness was briefed on the work of the security and safety teams in the field, praising their significant and continuous efforts that have contributed to controlling the overall situation, preserving the safety of individuals and the community, and supporting security and safety in the area.
His Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the heroes who continue to work and oversee the safety of individuals and public security in the area, emphasising its current priority.
His Highness said: "We thank you for your efforts, work, and dedication in the field in maintaining the safety of individuals and the land. We pray for you on this blessed Friday, and that God protects our nation and perpetuates its security, safety, and stability."
The Fujairah Government Media Office urged the public to obtain information from official sources within the country and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information.
His Highness was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, His Excellency Major General Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense, His Excellency Captain Mousa Murad, Director-General of Fujairah Port, and His Excellency Captain Salem Al Afkham, Director of Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone (FOIZ).
