Employees in Sharjah’s private education institutions must have a COVID-19 PCR test every two weeks unless they have received both doses of the vaccine.
In a circular, the Sharjah Education Authority said they will have to pay for the tests at their own expense.
But it added that employers will cover the cost for staff who provide a medical report exempting them from taking the vaccine due to an illness or a health condition.
All educational institutions must also update the Tamam platform with the number of employees who have had the vaccine and any other relevant information.
Monitoring teams will check negative PCR tests for workers in educational institutions and those presenting a vaccination certificate.
