It seems more than 70 per cent of UAE companies don't have safeguards in place to monitor comments on their social media platforms.
That's according to a Twitter poll by Dubai Eye 103.8.
Dino Wilkinson, Partner at the law firm Clyde & Co. says corporate responsibility for social media posts can be considered a 'grey area.'
However he recommends companies to keep an eye on their comments section anyway.
Wilkinson also suggests that social media platforms should do more to curate the content that's posted on their sites.
He says that while it's ultimately up to each individual to act responsibly, the platforms could do more as well.
