Abu Dhabi has named the first 15 recipients of its 'Urban Treasures' initiative to honour long-running businesses.
The Department of Culture and Tourism's (DCT Abu Dhabi) annual campaign recognises cafes, restaurants, clothing stores and other establishments that have been part of the UAE capital's cultural and social fabric for more than 20 years.
A host of promotional benefits have been awarded to them.
They have also been presented with physical and digital tags that highlight their contributions to the community, allowing them to benefit from a higher profile to promote their businesses to residents and tourists.
