The Life Endowment campaign, which aims to cover health care costs for chronic disease patients and people of determination, has raised AED 509 million within two weeks of its launch.
Revealing the amount, Endowments and Minors Funds Authority (Awqaf Abu Dhabi) said 93,000 contributors from the public and private sector came forward to make the contribution.
The proceeds will be invested to maximise returns, fund healthcare programmes and cover the costs for treatment and mental health support.
Fahad Abdul Qader Al Qassim, Director-General of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, highlighted that campaign embodies the UAE community's spirit of generosity and reflects the nation's long-standing commitment to humanitarian work, rooted in organised collective action.
"The continued flow of generous contributions through various channels underscores the widespread culture of endowment in our society as a key catalyst of sustainability," he added.
The campaign, running under the slogan “With You For Life”, aligns with the UAE Year of Community announced by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
